Do I need a referral to receive services at Dublin Counseling Center?
No. Self referrals are accepted, along with referrals from other agencies, doctor offices, etc. Most of our clients are referred from family and friends.
Do I need anything prior to setting up an appointment?
If you have insurance, contact your insurance company and get authorization if required. Not all providers at DCC will be covered by all insurance plans.
What is the process for making an appointment?
Call 614-889-5722 extension 0 between the hoursof 9 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday.
The information needed to set up your first appointment includes:
Name, address, date of birth, social security number, phone number, insurance company,
name of enrolled person, employer of enrolled person, ID number, group number, and
the insurance company's telephone number. If services are for an adult, that person
must make the call.
You will be asked what days and times work best for you and to briefly describe
your presenting problem(s) in order to match you with a clinician who best meets
your needs.
Upon gathering your information, the billing department will get insurance approval
and within two working days you will be notified and have an appointment scheduled.
What do I need for my first appointment?
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your appointment time (45 minutes for children/adolescents) to complete paperwork. The clinician must have the paperwork to see you, so it is important that it is completed before your appointment in order to utilize your time with the clinician effectively. In addition, please bring your insurance card and payment.
What if I need to cancel an appointment?
In the event that an appointment must be canceled, please provide at least 24-hour advance notice in order that we may use that time for another client. If an emergency arises and this is not possible, please notify the clinician/front office.
What types of insurance does DCC accept?
The following list is not comprehensive and is subject to change. Remember, most of DCC staff is not on all plans. Unfortunately, very few insurance plans cover all qualified clinicians.

What if I do not have insurance?
Depending on availability, Dublin Counseling Center offers sliding fee services for clients who are eligible. Please contact the front office for more information: 614-889-5722 x 0.
How much do the services cost?
These fees are subject to change:
Mental Health Diagnostic Assessment - $110 (1 hour)
Alcohol/Drug Diagnostic Assessment - $100 (1 hour)
Mental Health and Alcohol/Drug Follow-up - $90 (1 hour)
Psychiatric Drug Assessment - $210 (1 hour)
Psychiatric Follow-up - $105 (30 minutes)
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, personal checks, money orders, and MasterCard or Visa.
How do I get an appointment with a psychiatrist?
Dublin Counseling Center primarily serves as an outpatient facility. Clients first must see a clinician for diagnostic assessment. The clinician then refers the client to the psychiatrist, upon approval of the clinical director. The client needst to continue to meet with their clinician. Our psychiatrists are part-time and only see clients referred by ongoing therapists at DCC.
Do I have to live in Dublin to receive services?
No. Dublin Counseling Center provides services to clients across the Columbus area including Franklin county and other counties as well.
What are your hours of business?
Monday - Thursday, 9 am - 9 pm
Friday, 9 am - 5 pm
Saturday hours dependent upon clinician availability
What do I do if there is an emergency outside of business hours?
Call Netcare Access: 614-267-CARE (2273) or 1-888-267-CARE (2273). Netcare has a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week crisis hotline. You can also go to your nearest emergency room or call 911.
How do I register for CAPP (driver intervention program)?
There are several forms that need to be completed in order to register for the CAPP program. Come into Dublin Counseling Center and let the front desk know you would like to register. At registration, to ensure enrollment, you must make your payment in full, during the specified hours. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS FOR THIS PROGRAM.
What information do I need to bring for CAPP registration?
Court information (name of court, judge or probation officer, address, phone) and attorney information (name, address, phone). A copy of your ticket is appreicated.
What are accepted payments for the CAPP program?
We accept cash, money orders, and MasterCard or Visa. We cannot accept personal checks for the CAPP program at this time.
How long is the CAPP program?
The CAPP program is a 72-hour program running from Thursday evening at 5:30 pm to Sunday evening. The program will end by 6 pm on Sunday evening.
Where is the CAPP program held?
The program is held at the Dublin Crowne Plaza, 600 Metro Place North, Dublin, OH 43017.
How much does the CAPP program cost?
The costs include room, meals, and materials:
A shared room - $405 (two double beds; a roommate of the same sex)
A private room - $510
In the CAPP program, what should I and shouldn't I bring?
The following items are not allowed:
Visitors, alcohol, drugs, mouthwash (unless alcohol-free), hairspray (unless alcohol-free),
cologne or perfumes, laptops.
You will need to bring the following items:
Two forms of identification (one ID with a picture - if you do not have an ID with
a picture, you must bring either a social security card or birth certificate), pen
or pencil, casual comfortable clothing.
The following items are optional:
Snacks in a sealed bag, fruit, books, magazines, playing cards, cigarettes, earplugs
if a light sleeper, quarters for vending machine, soda/water, exercise clothes.
Cell phones:
You may bring a cell phone, but must leave it with staff at the beginning of the
program. Phone calls will be allowed only during the lunch hour and must be used
in the staff room. Phones will be signed "in" and "out" at the time of use. All
phones will be returned to you after 2:15 pm on Sunday. Any violation of this policy
will result in being asked to leave the program. Phones must be turned off when
not in use. You will not be allowed to charge your phones in the evenings.
Will my luggage be searched upon checking into the CAPP program?
Yes. Upon arrival, your luggage will be checked for any alcohol/drugs or prohibited materials.
If participating in the CAPP program, what about my prescription medications?
All medications must be in their original container. If the medication contains alcohol or a mood-altering substance such as Valium, you must bring a signed statement from your physician. This statement should indicate what dosage is prescribed, the reason for the prescription, and the physician's phone number. Over-the-counter drugs, including vitamins, must be in their original container.
How may clients participate in the Advanced AIMS program?
Clients who are eligible may participate through self-referrals by calling Dublin Counseling Center or through a referral from another organization.
